History
The Neverfurl company was originally founded in 1992 in Sugarland, Texas, by Mr.
George Dolan, a native Texan. Mr. Dolan enjoyed flying both the U.S. Stars & Stripes
and the Lone Star Flag of Texas. However, according to George "I got tired of continually
unfurling both flags from around the flagpoles. That's when I designed the NeverFurl®
product."
Convinced by his lovely wife Barbara that others would like to benefit from the idea,
George and Barbara introduced the original Never Furl® product to the National
Independent Flag Dealers Association in Washington, D.C. in 1993. Since then, most of
the major flag and flagpole distributors have added the Never Furl® brand products to
their catalogs, selling to dealers and ultimately end-users throughout the U.S. and
Canada.
In 2006, MelBala Enterprises, LLC, also based in Texas, acquired the assets, ownership
and distribution rights of the patented Never Furl® brand products. MelBala continues to
offer the unique and innovative Never Furl® products through its dealer network located
all over the U.S. and Canada, while proudly maintaining its manufacturing operations
entirely in the USA!
